Cosmos and Raspberry

When attempts to ensure absolute safety for children through sterile upbringing deprive them of the taste and joy of life, Malina and Jagoda, two brave girls, take matters into their own hands and reprogram the world for the better. “Cosmos and Raspberry” is an educational storybook that teaches children that thinking outside of the box is always worth it, and that believing in your own abilities and sense of agency can change our world.

How does fairy tale therapy work?

Fairy tale therapy is an effective method of supporting child development through a three-step process that includes reading, discussion, and educational play. This process builds bonds and understanding, satisfies emotional needs, supports the child’s mental development, strengthens their self-esteem, and, most importantly, helps them solve problems.

What will you find in this storybook?

In addition to the fairy tale itself, the publication also contains content for parents and teachers, which facilitates working with the text and suggests practical ways to talk to children about gender equality. It also teaches how to build girls’ sense of agency and make them believe in their skills in science-related fields.

Let's start fairy tale therapy

Before starting fairy tale therapy, always familiarise yourself with the content of the fairy tale you want to read. This is to check that the examples it provides are consistent with the patterns of behaviour that we actually want to convey to the child.
